Templates save time when you have recurring service formats.
Creating a Template#
From an Existing Plan#
- Create a service plan with your standard format
- Click More → Save as Template
- Name your template (e.g., "Sunday Morning Format")
- Template is saved
From Scratch#
- Go to Service Planner → Templates
- Click New Template
- Build your template structure
- Save
What's in a Template#
Templates can include:
- Time blocks — Worship (15 min), Message (30 min), Response (10 min)
- Draft song slots — "Opening Song", "Second Song" (you'll fill in later)
- Transitions — Standard transition notes
- Notes — Recurring instructions
Using a Template#
When creating a new plan:
- Click New Service Plan
- Select From Template
- Choose your template
- The plan populates with template content
- Replace draft rows with selected songs
Template Ideas#
| Template Name | Use Case |
|---|---|
| Sunday AM Standard | Regular Sunday morning |
| Sunday Evening | Evening service format |
| Youth Group | Youth worship night |
| Communion Sunday | Including communion elements |
| Christmas Eve | Holiday service |
| Easter Sunday | Resurrection celebration |
| Baptism Service | Including baptism |
| Prayer Night | Midweek prayer meeting |
Managing Templates#
Editing Templates#
- Go to Templates
- Click on a template
- Make changes
- Save
Deleting Templates#
- Find the template
- Click Delete
- Existing plans created from it are not affected
Sharing Templates#
In organizations:
- Admins can create shared templates
- All leaders can use shared templates
- Personal templates stay personal
