Content Guidelines
What you can and cannot create on DailyWorship
DailyWorship is a platform for creating authentic worship music. These guidelines explain what's allowed, what isn't, and how moderation works. They are part of our Terms of Service.
Our Mission#
We exist to help churches and individuals create original worship music that glorifies God. All content should align with this mission.
Across Christian Traditions#
DailyWorship is built for Christian worship across traditions. We are not affiliated with one denomination, and we do not promote one denomination's secondary doctrine. Our guardrails focus on Christian worship, originality, and prohibited-content safety. Churches and users remain responsible for reviewing generated lyrics and usage for their own doctrine, congregation, and use case. See Faith Review & Biblical Guardrails.
What's Encouraged#
Worship music styles#
Contemporary worship, traditional hymns, gospel and spirituals, praise and worship, contemplative/meditative, world worship styles, children's worship.
Lyrical themes#
Praise and adoration, Scripture-based lyrics, prayer and devotion, testimony and faith, hope and encouragement, confession and repentance, seasonal themes (Christmas, Easter, etc.).
Use cases#
Personal worship, church services, youth groups and camps, small groups and home churches, retreats and conferences, education and training.
What's Not Allowed#
Copyright and impersonation#
- Don't recreate, cover, continue, or closely imitate copyrighted songs, lyrics, melodies, arrangements, or recordings.
- Don't request music "in the style of" a specific artist, band, choir, or church.
- Don't impersonate known voices, artists, churches, or recordings. See Rights & Licensing.
Voice, likeness, and deepfakes#
- Don't clone, mimic, or recreate a real person's voice, name, image, or likeness without that person's verifiable consent. Unauthorized voice/likeness replicas can violate right-of-publicity laws (for example, Tennessee's ELVIS Act and emerging US federal and state rules).
- Don't create deepfakes or deceptive synthetic media, or content designed to mislead about who created or performed it.
Hate, harassment, and discrimination#
- No content targeting individuals or groups, discriminatory language or themes, or messages promoting violence or harm.
Explicit and harmful content#
- No sexual or suggestive content, graphic violence, profanity, or vulgarity.
- No self-harm or suicide promotion, dangerous activities, or medical misinformation.
- Zero tolerance for child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or any sexualization of minors. We remove such content, terminate accounts, and report to the appropriate authorities (for example, NCMEC and law enforcement) as required by law.
Politics, spam, and abuse#
- No political campaign or propaganda content.
- No repetitive identical generations, attempts to bypass filters, or harassment of other users.
AI Transparency#
Tracks generated on DailyWorship are AI-generated. Don't present Output as human-authored or human-performed where that would be deceptive, and comply with any AI-labeling or disclosure laws that apply to how you publish it.
Moderation#
Automatic filtering#
Automated checks screen prompts and lyrics for copyright-copying requests, voice/likeness cloning, explicit or hateful content, political campaign prompts, and non-Christian religious content outside the worship focus. If your prompt is declined, revise it toward original Christian worship content.
Limited human or admin review#
DailyWorship is automated first. Human or admin review is limited to flagged public content, reports, appeals, organization approval workflows, and live host requests. We do not promise that every generated track receives human theology review.
Reporting#
See concerning content? Report it with what you saw, where you saw it, and why it's concerning.
Consequences#
Violations may result in content removal, a warning, temporary suspension, or account termination. Severity depends on the nature of the violation, whether it was intentional, and prior violations. Repeat copyright infringers and any CSAM are subject to immediate termination.
Appeals#
If you believe content was wrongly removed or a generation was wrongly blocked: Contact Support, explain the situation, and we'll review and respond.
Tips for Appropriate Content#
- Focus on worship — keep God as the center.
- Be original — don't copy existing songs, melodies, or voices.
- Be inclusive — consider your congregation.
- Be respectful — honor diverse traditions.
- Review before use — confirm theological fit before public, church, or commercial use.
