How to access, export, or delete your personal data
You have control over your personal data. This page explains your rights and how to exercise them. For the full picture, see the Privacy Policy.
Your Rights#
Depending on where you live (especially the EU/UK, California, or Canada), you have rights to:
- Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you.
- Rectification — correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Erasure — request deletion of your personal data.
- Portability — receive your data in a portable format.
- Object — object to certain processing.
- Restrict — limit how we process your data.
- Withdraw consent — where processing is based on consent.
How to Exercise Your Rights#
Data export#
- Go to Settings → Privacy.
- Click Export My Data.
- Choose what to include (profile, generated songs, playlists/favorites, activity history).
- Click Request Export.
- You'll receive a download link by email.
Account deletion#
Other requests#
- Contact Support or email privacy@dailyworship.net.
- Select "Privacy Request".
- Specify your request and verify your identity.
Identity Verification#
To protect your data, we verify identity before responding — typically via your account email and confirmation of account details. For sensitive requests we may request additional verification.
Response Times#
- EU/UK (GDPR): within one month (extendable for complex requests, with notice).
- California (CCPA/CPRA): within 45 days (extendable to 90 with notice).
- Canada (PIPEDA): generally within 30 days.
We'll keep you informed if a request is complex and needs more time.
Limitations#
Some data may be retained to comply with legal obligations, to exercise or defend legal claims, for legitimate business purposes, or in anonymized form for analytics. See Data Retention.
Regional Notes#
- EU/UK (GDPR): legal bases include contract, legitimate interests, legal obligation, and consent. You may complain to your Data Protection Authority (ICO in the UK).
- California (CCPA/CPRA): you may know, access, correct, delete, opt out of sale/sharing (we don't sell or share), and limit sensitive-data use, without discrimination.
- Canada (PIPEDA / Quebec Law 25): you may access and correct your data, withdraw consent, and (in Quebec) request portability and information about automated processing. You may complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or, in Quebec, the Commission d'accès à l'information.
