Deleting Your Account

How to permanently delete your DailyWorship account and what happens to your data

Last updated: May 26, 2026

You can permanently delete your DailyWorship account at any time. This page explains exactly what gets removed, what you should do first, and how to confirm the delete.

Before you delete#

Once your account is deleted, it cannot be restored. We don't keep a hidden copy. So before you delete:

  1. Export your data. If you want to keep copies of the songs you generated, your library metadata, your service plans, or any feedback you've submitted, request a data export first. See Downloading Your Data.
  2. Cancel your subscription. If you have an active paid plan, cancel it before deleting. Deleting an account doesn't automatically refund a paid period — and you'll lose access to the billing portal once the account is gone.
  3. Transfer organization ownership. If you own a church or organization workspace, transfer ownership to another member before deleting, or the workspace will be left without an owner. Other members will lose access to org-shared resources.

How to delete#

  1. Sign in to DailyWorship.
  2. Go to Settings → Account.
  3. Scroll to Delete Account.
  4. Confirm by typing your email address.
  5. Click Permanently delete account.

You'll be signed out immediately and the account will be queued for deletion.

What gets deleted#

  • Your user profile (name, email, password, OAuth links)
  • Your generated tracks and audio files
  • Your prompts, lyrics, and generation history
  • Your library, playlists, favourites, and ratings
  • Your service plans and Worship Memory feedback
  • Your concierge conversation history
  • Personal subscription records (with billing receipts retained for tax purposes as required by law)

What is retained#

A small amount of data is retained even after deletion, where law or legitimate business need requires:

  • Aggregate analytics (counts of generations, plays) with no link back to your user
  • Billing receipts required for tax and accounting compliance
  • Moderation records for any account previously sanctioned, retained per our trust-and-safety policy

None of these contain content you generated or any personally identifying information beyond what's legally mandated.

Deleting an organization#

If you own an organization workspace, deleting your personal account does not automatically delete the organization. Transfer ownership first, or contact support to have the organization deleted alongside your account.

Getting your data first#

If you want a complete archive of your account before deleting, request a data export and wait for it to land in your email. See Downloading Your Data.
