This article describes the license and rights attached to tracks you generate on DailyWorship. It is a plain-English summary of the formal terms in the Terms of Service; the formal terms govern in case of any conflict.

What this covers#

This covers tracks you personally generate on a DailyWorship account. It does not cover tracks generated by other users that you find in the public discovery feed (those have more limited rights — see below).

Free tier — non-commercial license#

On the Free tier you receive a worldwide, perpetual, non-exclusive license to use the tracks you generate for:

Worship use — any service, gathering, or devotional context, anywhere, at any frequency.
Recording your team performing the track for worship contexts.
Modifying the track (edit, remix, re-record, translate, arrange) for your own use.
Sharing within your organization workspace and worship team.
Downloading stems, lead sheets, and other exports for the above uses.

You may not sell, distribute commercially, or license the track to others on the Free tier.

Paid tiers — commercial rights#

On paid tiers that include commercial licensing (see Subscription Tiers and Commercial Use), in addition to the above, we assign to you our right, title, and interest (if any) in the Output, so you may:

Distribute the track commercially under your own artist name.
Sync the track to video for commercial release.
Sub-license to a label, publisher, or platform.
Register the track with collection societies under your own name (subject to the AI-copyright caveat — registrability is not guaranteed; see Copyright & Intellectual Property).

Term and what happens after cancellation#

The license is perpetual for tracks you generated while your subscription was active. If you cancel, you keep the tracks you already generated under the license that applied at the time of generation. What changes:

You can no longer generate new tracks under the paid license (your tier reverts to Free).
You retain everything you already generated, under the terms that applied at the time.

What you cannot do, on any tier#

Claim that DailyWorship endorses your specific work.
Use DailyWorship's name, logo, or branding without written permission.
Resell raw platform output as a stock-music library.
Generate content that violates the Content Guidelines.
Use the platform in a way that violates applicable law.

Tracks generated by other users#

When you find a track another user created in the public discovery feed, you may play it, add it to your library, playlists, and service plans, and share a link. You may not modify, remix, re-record, distribute commercially, claim it as your own, or download stems. The original creator retains full rights and can change visibility or remove it at any time.

Tracks generated within an organization workspace#

Tracks generated by a member of your organization and shared into the org library follow the original creator's license. They're available for the org to use in worship contexts; commercial use requires the original creator's permission, regardless of the org's tier.

Attribution#

Attribution is not legally required but is appreciated. For private worship, none is expected. For commercial release, the convention is to credit yourself as the artist and optionally note "created with DailyWorship." For public discovery-feed tracks, attribution to the original creator is preserved automatically.

Warranty and support#

The license is provided "as is" and the disclaimers and limitation of liability in the Terms of Service apply. If a track of yours is the subject of a third-party claim, contact support promptly; where the claim relates to our generation process (rather than your later modifications), we will investigate and work to resolve it, including, where appropriate, by helping you replace the affected work.

Changes to license terms#

License terms can change for future generations, but never retroactively — tracks you already generated stay under the version that applied at the time. We will notify you by email of any material change.

For specific commercial cases — film/TV placement, large-scale distribution, denominational rollout — we can provide a formal license letter for your paperwork. Contact Support with the details.
