Personal use, church use, commercial use, AI copyright caveats, and prohibited prompts
This article summarizes how you may use tracks generated on DailyWorship. It is usage guidance, not legal advice. The formal terms are in the Terms of Service and govern in case of any conflict.
Personal Use#
You may use generated tracks for personal worship, prayer, Bible reading, devotional listening, private study, and non-commercial sharing under DailyWorship's terms.
Shared and Ministry Use#
DailyWorship is designed to support personal and non-commercial shared worship contexts, including worship services, prayer gatherings, Bible studies, small groups, youth ministry, and internal rehearsal and planning. Teams and churches should still review lyrics for doctrine, pastoral fit, and local policy before use.
Output Ownership by Tier#
- Free tier: you receive a non-commercial license to use Output for personal, shared, and ministry purposes — no selling or licensing to others.
- Paid tiers (commercial): subject to these Terms, we assign to you our rights (if any) in the Output you generate, so you may use it commercially under your own name. See Commercial Use and Subscription Tiers.
Commercial Use and Uncertainty#
Commercial use can include selling recordings, monetized streaming, paid performances, advertisements, film/video licensing, and licensing tracks to others. AI copyright law and platform policies are still developing, so DailyWorship cannot guarantee copyright registration, distribution-platform acceptance, or freedom from every third-party claim. AI Copyright Caveats#
Treat generated music with care:
- Keep your prompts and lyrics original.
- Avoid copying existing melodies, lyrics, arrangements, recordings, voices, or artist identities.
- Keep records of your prompts, lyrics, edits, and usage context.
- Review your release plan before you monetize or distribute broadly.
- Because Output may not be unique, another user could receive similar Output — don't assume exclusivity.
Prohibited Prompts#
Do not ask DailyWorship to:
- Create a cover of, or continue/rewrite, a copyrighted song or known lyric.
- Sound like a named artist, worship leader, band, choir, church, or recording.
- Clone or imitate a real person's voice, name, image, or likeness.
- Recreate a melody, hook, riff, arrangement, or production from an existing song.
- Generate hate, harassment, sexual content, graphic violence, or political campaign material.
Public Sharing#
Publicly shared tracks may be moderated, reported, hidden, or removed if they violate DailyWorship policies. Public availability is not a guarantee of legal clearance or theological review.
