Working with Click Tracks

A click track keeps your band in perfect time. Essential for tight performances.

What Is a Click Track?#

A click track is an audio metronome:

• Steady beats at the song's tempo
• Usually a subtle "click" or "beep"
• Played through in-ear monitors
• Not heard by the congregation

Why Use a Click Track?#

Tighter Performance#

• Everyone stays on the same beat
• No tempo drift during songs
• Transitions are smooth

In-Ear Monitor Integration#

• Drummers especially benefit
• Band plays together even when spread out
• Consistent timing through the set

Following Along#

• Matches the generated song exactly
• Useful for playing with backing tracks

Getting the Click Track#

1. Go to your song
2. Click Download → Stems
3. Check Include Click Track
4. Download your stems
5. The click track is a separate file

Using the Click Track#

For the Drummer#

Send the click to the drummer's in-ear monitors:

• Just the click, or
• Click + a mix of other instruments

For the Whole Band#

Some bands put click in everyone's ears:

• Leader counts everyone in
• Everyone stays locked to the click

Practice Only#

Use click at rehearsal but not on Sunday:

• Trains the band to feel tempo
• Live performance feels more organic

Click Track Settings#

When available, you can adjust:

• Volume — How loud the click is in the mix
• Sound — Different click sounds (beep, stick, cowbell)
• Accent — Emphasis on beat 1

Tips for Success#

1. Start with click lower in the mix, increase as needed
2. Give the band time to get used to it
3. Count in before the song starts
4. Practice with click before going live
