Why a Prompt Was Blocked
Understanding the moderation layer and what kinds of prompts it filters
If a prompt you submitted didn't generate a track and you saw a moderation message, your prompt matched one of the safety patterns the platform enforces. This article explains what those patterns are, so you can adjust and try again.
What gets blocked#
The moderation layer runs before generation and screens for:

| Non-Christian religious content | Prompts asking for songs to other deities, mantras, religious-pluralist content |
| Heretical theology | Prompts that deny core Christian doctrine (the Trinity, the divinity of Christ, the resurrection) |
| Profanity, slurs, sexual content | Anything explicit or degrading |
| Violence and self-harm | Glorifying violence, encouraging self-harm |
| Political partisanship | Prompts naming political candidates, parties, or partisan causes |
| Known copyrighted material | Direct quotes from copyrighted lyrics, requests to clone a specific commercial artist |
| Personal attacks | Prompts targeting a named individual or group |
These patterns are maintained on the server. The exact rules are not user-configurable.
What to do if your prompt was blocked#
- Re-read the prompt. Often the block is on a single word or phrase you can rephrase. ("A song about God's judgement on [politician]" → "A song about God's righteous justice.")
- Check for ambiguity. Words that have a benign use and a flagged use (e.g. names of historical figures) sometimes trip patterns. Rephrasing usually clears the block.
- Stay within the Christian worship scope. DailyWorship is purpose-built for Christian worship. Songs for other religious or secular purposes are out of scope by design.
Why moderation is opaque#
The specific pattern that triggered a block is not shown to the user. That's deliberate — making the rules public would let bad-faith users probe and circumvent them. The trade-off is that an occasional honest prompt gets caught and the user has to rephrase.
