What Is MusicXML?#

MusicXML is a standard file format that:

Exporting MusicXML#

1. Open a song in your library
2. Click Export → Sheet Music
3. Select MusicXML format
4. Choose what to include:

• Lead sheet
• SATB parts
• Piano score

Opening MusicXML Files#

In MuseScore (Free)#

1. Download MuseScore from musescore.org
2. Open MuseScore
3. File → Open → select your .musicxml file
4. Edit as needed

In Finale or Sibelius#

1. Open your notation software
2. File → Import → MusicXML
3. Select your file
4. Edit and customize
